The Three Second Rule

The three second rule in a music video technique used to rule when editing, each part of the music video in different locations is used for only three seconds per switch of shot. This isn't a rule that is popular nowadays amongst all music video's however, it is still a rule that applies to most pop/hip hop videos especially used by artist such as Nicki Minaj.
